If you’ve seen a video of a baby talking into a microphone, you’ve already seen what Hedra AI can do.
Someone took a still image from the Joe Rogan podcast and, using a combination of ChatGPT and Hedra AI, transformed him into a talking baby.
Our client Antique Tractor Life,
had a similar idea — a story about the first tractor that arrived on the farm and a conversation that might have happened between two horses.
In the past, you’d need a full CGI budget to make talking animals come to life. But with AI video tools, that level of creativity is now easier, faster, and more affordable than ever.
Here’s how we turned a simple talking-head video into a pair of lifelike talking horses.
Step 1: Creating The Template
AI video generation starts with two things — an image and an audio file.
We began by filming our actor against a solid background. Because we had two horse characters, we set up two camera angles and recorded the actor performing both parts — even changing shirts to match each character.
We then exported still images from each video using our editing software (shown below).
Step 2: Using ChatGPT to Create the Horse Images
Next, we used ChatGPT to generate new images of our actor — but as horses.
Our prompt was simple:
“Create an image of this exact photo in 9×16 resolution, but change the person into a black horse.”
After generating the image, we used Adobe Photoshop to remove the background and replace it with a rustic barn scene. We repeated the process for the white horse character.
Now, both images were ready to upload to Hedra AI.

Step 3: Bringing It to Life with Hedra AI
Hedra allows you to upload a photo and an audio file, then uses AI to animate the face so it matches the voice.
We exported two separate audio tracks from Final Cut Pro — one for each horse.
Then, in Hedra, we uploaded the image and matching audio for each, along with a short prompt:
“A talking black horse.”
After processing, Hedra generated full-motion videos of both horses perfectly synced to the dialogue. We imported the results back into Final Cut, aligned them with the original audio, and edited everything together.
The end result was striking — two lifelike horses holding a believable conversation.

Step 4: Beyond Horses — Chickens and Camels
Encouraged by the success, Antique Tractor Life created more videos — one with talking chickens, another with camels — all using the same process in Hedra AI.
